14 DEC '89 - ROMANIA
Our Case Work
In December 1989, Romania was still under the shadow of a regime that seemed unshakable. Yet, in Iași, a group of courageous people sought to change the course of history.
On December 14, just days before the Revolution erupted in Timișoara, a protest was planned here, on this very street. Although suppressed by the authorities, those who stood up then left behind a legacy: proof that change always begins with an idea, an act of courage, a first step toward freedom.
Today, on the street that bears the name of that decisive day, a space stands that resonates with the same spirit of initiative. This office space is not just a workplace—it is an expression of free thinking and a drive for progress. Just as a vision for a different future took shape in 1989, here, new concepts, projects, and decisions are shaping the world of tomorrow.
The interior design reflects this idea of continuity between past and future. Clean architectural lines, natural materials, and abundant light create an environment that inspires clarity and creativity. Every detail is designed to encourage interaction and collaboration, offering a flexible and dynamic setting where ideas take form.
In this place, the memory of history intertwines with the energy of the present. Where silence was once imposed by the regime, now thrives the vibrancy of free thinking. Where an uprising was once attempted, new visions, new ways of working, creating, and innovating now emerge.
This office is not just a physical space—it is a symbol of continuous transformation. It is a place where the past reminds us of the power of initiative, while the present provides the perfect context to build the future. Here, change is not just a concept—it is a daily reality.
In a space that initially seemed limited, we saw the potential for a functional and harmonious universe. This office project was not just a design endeavor but a reimagining of efficiency and comfort within a modern workspace.
The goal was clear: to open the way to a new perspective on office space. Despite the modest dimensions, we approached every corner with optimization in mind. Every square meter was maximized to seamlessly merge functionality and aesthetics in perfect balance.
One of the key elements of the project was extending the mezzanine, which allowed for the creation of a more spacious office area, including an executive office. This architectural intervention transformed the entire dynamic of the upper level, providing more openness and natural light.
The ground floor was organized around the principle of efficiency. In addition to the existing restroom, we added a new one, designed to enhance the comfort of both employees and visitors. The workspace was partitioned in a way that encourages collaboration while maintaining the privacy necessary for focus.
We created distinct areas, each with a specific role:
- ○ A meeting room where ideas take shape,
- ○ A welcoming kitchen that fosters social interaction,
- ○ A reception area that conveys professionalism from the very first moment,
- ○ A private office, located right behind the reception, designed for quick meetings or administrative tasks,
- ○ An executive office that exudes decision-making and vision.
Behind this office, we incorporated a discreet room, ideal for a safe or archive. The technical room, essential for the smooth operation of equipment, was insulated to ensure a quiet atmosphere throughout the rest of the space.
This project is not just about offices and furniture—it embodies a vision: a place where ideas grow, teams evolve, and a small space becomes a vast environment for creativity and performance. Here, functionality and aesthetics do not compete but rather support each other, shaping an office that inspires passion for work and success every single day.
